Total maintenance for the six months ending December 31, 2022 was $105,639 as compared to $68,993 for the prior year.  Significant repairs this year making up a portion of the increase are as follows: Replacement of rotten siding (approximately $11,000), painting not assessed for (approximately $10,500), water main emergency repair (approximately $7,500), a repair to associations Kubota tractor (approximately $3,000) and the lawn and snow removal is up (approximately $8,500).

Updates

  • Reminder to shower prior to entering the pool
  • Both pool and hot tub motors were rebuilt and replaced in January.
  • Owners who rent their units need to ensure their renters have access to a copy of our rules and abide by them.
  • The lowest temperatures of the year are here. Ensure your furnace is working properly and heat is set at a minimum of 55 degrees.
  • Owners who leave for extended periods of time during the winter months should consider contacting Kevin for his expertise on winterization.
  • Ice on the ponds is not safe to walk on. Ponds are spring fed and have areas of weakness.

By now you’re probably acquainted with Kevin and Amanda Kissinger, who keep things going at Lakeside Club, but you may not know much about their backgrounds or responsibilities. This page also describes the best ways for communicating with Kevin and Amanda.

Petoskey District Library

Property owners in Bear Creek Township can obtain library cards and use all resources of the Petoskey District Library.  If your drivers’ license doesn’t display your Lakeside address, then bring in a document that does (i.e.; utility bill, tax statement)  A traveling Holocaust exhibit is on display until February 14.  No proof of library membership is required—all are welcome.

Rental Procedures

The Lakeside Board is revamping rental procedures and will roll them out soon.  We need to have an accurate list of owners who rent their units.  If you rent your unit, please email Carol Woodhurst.  Include the listing site(s) and/or management company you use.   Please include the property # to help us locate your listing.
