Sad News

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our Lakeside Club owners, neighbor, and friend, Russ Deutsch (unit 69).  Russ was only 64 years old when he suffered a heart attack on September 23.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Sheryl, their family, and many friends.  For those desiring to make contributions, please send to the Flint Jewish Federation, 5080 W. Bristol Road, Flint, MI 48507 or to any organization or charity that brings “quality of life”.  A complete obituary can be viewed online:  https://www.sharpfuneralhomes.com/obituary/Russell-Deutsch

Financial Information

Correction:  There was a discrepancy between the information in our October Newsletter and the statement from DG&N for our one-time payment for the 2022-2023 additional assessment.  The Newsletter stated $1250 and the statement from DG&N stated $1254.  $1320 x 5% = $66

The one-time payment would be $1254.  The statement that owners received was correct.

Thank you to Merv Sternberg for noticing the discrepancy.

HOLIDAY FUND

One of the best ways to thank our staff and show our appreciation for their hard work throughout the year is for you, as an Owner, to voluntarily contribute to the Employee Holiday Fund. It is through the efforts of our staff that many of the little problems and all of the larger problems are solved. The Board is asking each Owner to voluntarily contribute at least $25 or more to the Holiday Fund (Coupon and return envelope enclosed with Newsletter). The funds will be shared with our employees based on seniority, responsibilities and amount of time worked during the year. Your contribution (check) should be made payable to Lakeside Club and marked “Employee Holiday Fund”. Your Holiday Fund check along with the contribution coupon may be placed in the enclosed envelope (along with your dues if you don’t have auto deduction). The employee will be given a Holiday card containing the name and unit number of each contributor. Our goal is 100% participation. Thank you so much for your anticipated contribution. Your show of appreciation for our staff will go a long way.

Thank you to Shelly Germain, Greg Waller, Kevin Kissinger, and John Lehman for their contributions to this newsletter.
